Jams at Stacker

Hello All,

New to the Pagewide, love it so far...except... we are seeing output jams at our stacker on longer sheets (42"). Once we have 30 or so sheets on the stacker the following sheets seem to 'stick' to the sheet below and the stacker doesn't have enough power to push the sheet back far enough to not interfere with the next sheet to come out.

Any guesses? It almost seems like static or like the stacker is pushing down too hard on the sheets when they come out. Just my rookie guesses. We've played with the stacker height adjustment and have the stacker leveled to the machine, but haven't seen improvement.

Thanks in advance - Destin.
(and Kip Doc, thanks for another great forum!)

Also, 20lb bond paper, mixed ink coverage (construction prints with a few renderings).

Are you using the hold down on the stacker? the price that sits on top of the paper as it comes out. Must people are not using those. it may cause problems on longer sheets. Try lifting it up and out of the way, if you are using it.

Thanks Jedi -

We did start doing this later on Thursday. We have had good luck so far, but haven't run a large quantity of prints yet. Will report back.

We have three stackers running without the upper guides. Other than operator caused jams we've not had any issues running any size print.

Long term update - no more jams when not using the upper guides. Thanks all!
