Trial without postscript?

Hi!
After updating our non postscript PW5000, I needed to install a new trial license for Smartstream, although, the former should still be active for 50days. The new license starts counting again but every printjob immediately fails with an error.
Sales told me I need Postscript for Smartstream but I'm wondering why it worked perfectly with the former (v19) firmware...
Now I've rolled back to that firmware and can still use Smartstream until the trial ends.
